hrv U članku je dan povijesni pregled širenja znanja o magnetskim kompasima i njihova primjena u geodeziji, rudarskim mjerenjima i navigaciji na moru. Osim toga opisan je princip rada elektroničkoga kompasa, koji radi na principu magnetskog otpora ili Hallova efekta. Zatim je pojašnjen utjecaj magnetske indukcije izazvane Zemljinim magnetskim poljem u fizičkom tijelu automobila i način njegova kompenziranja. Na kraju je opisana integracija GPS-prijamnika, elektroničkoga kompasa i brojača okreta kotača automobila u suvremenoj navigaciji u automobilima.
eng In the paper is given historical review of expanding knowledge on magnetic compasses and its application in geodesy, mining measurements and nave navigation. Beside of this described principle of working electronic compass with aid magnetic resistance or Hall’s effect. After that influence of magnetic induction caused by geomagnetism in physical body of car is explained. On the end described integration GPS-receiver, electronic compass and counter of revolutions wheel of car in modern car navigation.
